Carpal Tunnel is created by the carpal bones getting stuck in a flexed position creating a tunnel in the wrist. This is caused by either the overuse of the hand muscles or an injury in the shoulder or neck. Wrist pain and stiffness in the hands can all be symptoms of carpal tunnel. While many consider the solution to carpal tunnel pain to be surgery, we offer an alternative and noninvasive approach to fixing your aches and pains.
Hands are very important to our natural survival and it is actually rare that the muscles in the hand become the source of the problem. Usually, the hands are overworking for the problems in the elbow and/or shoulder but not all the time. At MASJ, Scott assesses the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, neck and the rest of the body to get confirmation of the root cause of your carpal tunnel. After treating the suspected root cause of carpal tunnel, Scott reassesses the hand and wrist to confirm the hand can move out of the flexed carpal tunnel position and is stable.
