Pregnant Women Should Do These 3 Exercises To Stay In Shape

Exercising is excellent for pregnant women because it allows their muscles to stretch and keeps them fit most of the time. Though before you do any form of exercise, speak to your doctor so that he can know what type of exercise is excellent for you, depending on the months of your pregnancy. Exercising is also great for your child and you, and it protects you from having a miscarriage, a premature baby, or a child with low birth weight.

The types of exercises that are the best for pregnant women are:

Keep moving

Most doctors advise many pregnant women to walk around or keep moving to help with back pain, allow them to have a great posture, and increase their energy. When you always make it a habit of walking around, you will be back to your normal posture once you have delivered your child.

You don’t have to have fancy equipment to be able to work out,  you can utilize the few things you have, and you will still be fit.  When you start exercising,  you need to go back to your doctor to examine your progress, and they may ask you to change the exercise you are doing.

For this exercise, stand parallel to the back of a sturdy chair with the hand closest to the chair resting on it, feet parallel and hip-distance apart. With your knees and toes turned to a 45degrees, yank your stomach button up and in. Bend your knees, lowering your torso as low as possible as you keep your back straight. For starters, spruce up your legs down and line with your shoulder, palm facing in. Bend your left elbow up so that your arm creates a 90-degree position.  Hold then go back to the post you had begun with.

Water exercises are also a great exercise that expectant mums can do effortlessly. A simple swim from one side of the pool to the other is actually enough for an afternoon. But a pregnant lady might also sign up for aerobics classes with an instructor who offers step by step guidance of the workouts.

Why pregnant women should exercise

  • Exercise allows pregnant women to gain the needed weight.
  • Exercise allows your mind and body to be healthy since it gives you physical energy and makes you feel amazing. Your blood vessels, heart, and lungs are more robust.
  • It helps you ease discomforts such as constipation, back pain, and swelling in the kegs, ankles, and feet.
  • It also helps you with the risks from pregnancy, such as gestational diabetes and preeclampsia.
  • It helps reduce your risk of having a cesarean birth. C-section is a birth surgery where your baby is born through your doctor’s cut on your uterus.
  • Prepares your body for birth and labor. Activities such as parental yoga and Pilates can assist you in-breath, meditate or other calming techniques that may help you handle labor pain.

When you are pregnant, you want to exercise daily until you are advised not to anymore by a doctor. Exercising will help you with your pregnancy journey. It can ensure you and your baby are very healthy. Delivery will also be easier once you are used to exercising, and you will regain your energy the moment you give birth.
